At IFAT 2016, the World’s Leading Trade Fair for Water, Sewage, Waste and Raw Materials Management, is the WTE Group presently again. This year we continue our innovations and patents as well as the 20-year certification of management systems to the foreground.
Research and development are a significant factor for us as a forward-looking company, which is why we are also keen on collaborating with notable research institutes.These include Research Institute for Water and Waste Management at RWTH Aachen e. V. (FiW); Hamburg-Harburg Technical University, Institute for Waste Water and Water Protection (AWW); TuTech Innovation GmbH; Ruhr University Bochum, Chair of Urban Water Management and Environmental Engineering; Dresden Technical University, Institute for Urban Water Management.

The other important subject includes our certification. On the basis of the international norm DIN EN ISO 9001, WTE already started introducing its process-oriented quality management system in the year 1996. This applies to all processes ranging from acquisition to offer formulation, planning, construction and operation. WTE’s process conformance with the norms is verified through regular checks and certifications by external auditors. Over the years this certification was supplemented by the norms DIN EN ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001, and finally to the energy management DIN EN ISO 50001.
For our company, the subject of energy management revolves around the search for sources of renewable energy. The technologies we offer our customers have for a long time enabled regenerative energy sources to be exploited in their plants. Now, our focus lies on the continuous improvement of energy efficiency.
An outstanding example for energy efficiency in line with the WTE energy management system is the outdoor photovoltaic system operated by WTE Betriebsgesellschaft / WAMS mbH in Buckow.
