170 kilometers for clean water
The majority of the work has already been completed: around 170 kilometers of pipes with diameters ranging from DN 150 to DN 700 have been laid. But our task goes beyond pipe construction. The final installations for the mechanical engineering, the associated pipes and the electrical equipment are currently underway in the water reservoir with chlorination station and in the pumping station. At the same time, the SCADA system is taking shape – a crucial step towards the intelligent control and monitoring of the entire network.
Additional challenges – additional solutions
The requirements grow with the project. At the customer’s request, WTE expands the original order volume and takes on additional construction measures, including:
✅ construction of another pumping station
✅ Additional pipes and shafts for connection to existing networks and reservoirs
These expansions represent a strategic expansion of the infrastructure and ensure an even more reliable water supply in the long term. At the same time, however, they also mean an adjustment to the schedule: Completion is now scheduled for the second quarter of 2025.
Teamwork that makes the difference
A dedicated team is behind this impressive progress. The project team in Cluj proves every day how valuable solidarity, expertise and flexibility are for the success of such large-scale projects. Together with our partners, we are bringing these ambitious projects to their goal step by step – for a sustainable and safe water supply in Romania.
