Another important milestone was achieved in the Tubli Bahrain project “Expansion of a wastewater treatment plant and construction of a sewage sludge incineration plant”. On 22 June 2023, the first filter units of the flue gas cleaning system were delivered to the construction site in Tubli Bahrain and successfully lifted onto the designated steel structure.
Over the next few days, the other components, such as the two reactors, as well as two further fabric filters for the two incineration lines, will be delivered and lifted into place. This means that around 500 tons of steel were installed in record time between the start of assembly in April and mid-June. The next heavy duty lifting operations will take place in the coming weeks, where five silo systems with a diameter of up to five metres and a height of 15 metres will be installed.
